Extron DXP HD 4K PLUS Series HDMI Matrix Switchers

The Extron DXP HD 4K PLUS Series are high-performance HDMI matrix switchers designed for reliable routing of computer and video signals at resolutions up to 4K/60 with 4:4:4 color sampling. Built to HDMI 2.0b specifications, these matrix switchers support data rates up to 18 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, HD lossless audio formats, and CEC control. All models are HDCP 2.3 compliant and incorporate Extron technologies such as SpeedSwitch®, EDID Minder®, and Key Minder® to ensure stable, professional-grade operation.

Available in fixed configurations from 4×2 to 16×16, the DXP HD 4K PLUS Series supports resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz and is ideal for use with computers equipped with 4K graphics cards, 4K media players, Blu-ray players, and other high-resolution sources. Automatic input cable equalization and output reclocking maintain signal integrity over long HDMI cable runs, while +5 VDC power is available on HDMI outputs for supported peripheral devices.

Flexible Audio Distribution

The DXP HD 4K PLUS Series supports both embedded HDMI audio switching and built-in audio de-embedding. Embedded audio can follow the video signal to any HDMI output, while de-embedded audio can be routed independently to dedicated digital or analog outputs. Select models provide S/PDIF outputs supporting native Dolby® Digital and DTS formats, while analog stereo audio is available via captive screw connectors for seamless integration with local sound systems.

Fast, Reliable Switching

EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID communication to ensure reliable source startup and correct signal output. Key Minder® continuously authenticates HDCP encryption between sources and displays, while SpeedSwitch® Technology delivers exceptionally fast switching of HDCP-encrypted content, making the DXP HD 4K PLUS Series ideal for professional AV environments.

Easy Setup, Monitoring, and Control

Advanced control and monitoring is available via RS-232 and Ethernet. Front panel indicators provide real-time feedback of routing status, signal presence, and HDCP authentication. Global presets, available on 4×4 to 16×16 models, allow frequently used I/O configurations to be stored and recalled quickly, simplifying system operation.
