The Kramer VSM-4x4A is a versatile 4×4 seamless AV matrix switcher designed for professional video distribution, multi-view presentation, and video wall applications. It supports clean, frame-to-frame seamless switching with no visible glitches, making it ideal for mission-critical presentation and control room environments.
Beyond matrix switching, the VSM-4x4A can function as a video wall processor (2×2 or 1×4 layouts), dual-view display (Split, Picture-in-Picture, Picture-over-Picture), or quad-view display. This flexibility allows system designers to deploy a single device across multiple AV use cases.
Advanced Scaling, Audio & Video Processing
Powered by Kramer PixPerfect™ Scaling Technology, the VSM-4x4A delivers precise pixel mapping and high-quality scaling across a wide range of input and output resolutions. Built-in ProcAmp controls allow fine-tuning of color, hue, sharpness, noise reduction, contrast, and brightness.
The unit supports embedded HDMI audio and provides four balanced and four unbalanced audio outputs, each with independent volume control. Per-port HDCP and EDID settings ensure compatibility with various sources and displays, while constant output sync guarantees stable output timing across all operating modes.
Control, Presets & Installation
Control options include front-panel buttons, IR remote control with on-screen display (OSD), RS-232, Ethernet with built-in web pages, and USB for programming and firmware upgrades. Four preset memory locations are available per operating mode for quick recall of common configurations.
Housed in a 19” 1U rack-mount aluminum enclosure and powered by a universal AC supply, the VSM-4x4A is well suited for boardrooms, classrooms, control rooms, and video wall installations requiring seamless switching and flexible display layouts.
